The Fourth Anniversary of Abhikalan

The Achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each other.

It’s 24 March—the day when Abhikalan, The Society of Computer Science officially came into existence. On 24 March 2018 Department of Computer Science & Engineering celebrated the fourth anniversary of Abhikalan, The Society of Computer Science.

Prof. P.K. Singh, Director RGGI congratulated to Abhikalan, The Society of Computer Science on its assurance to improving the excellence of learning for students of Radha Govind Group of Institutions, Meerut through workshops and other educational events. He addressed to the students on how precious their contribution is and thanked them for the difference they are making. Finally, he presented certificates of various events to the students and faculty members.

Prof. Tarun Kumar, President of Abhikalan, talked about the benefits of Abhikalan Society to the students. Mr. Jay Kumar also shared his valuable experiences about society.

This event would not have been possible without the support of Dr. Tarun Kumar, Mr. Jay Kumar, Ms. Vijaya Singh, Ms. Parinita Agarwal, Mr. Arvind Kumar & Mr. Ashish Chauhan. We would also like to thank to all our students for their contribution it the success of this event.


Two days work shop by Microsoft

A two days workshop was organized for B.Tech and MCA at Radha Govind Group of Institutions on 26/2/2018. A team of three delegates conducted both of the events which consist a Talk and a Technical session. Mr P.K. Singh, Director of RGGI felicitated the Team Microsoft for gracing RGGI by their presence.

Mr Vibhor Srivastava, the head of Microsft Commercial Software Engineering Team initiated the first session which revolved around the priorities related to Microsoft Students Partners community and cloud priority that spans multiple audiences. Thereafter the talk was handed over to Ms Osheen Chavhan, an Alumni of Microsoft Student Partner, and Web Student Ambassador who empowered many girls and women across the nation. It was an interactive session, where RGGIians and the students of other colleges actively participated. Ms Osheen spread the awareness among the students about the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2018 and mentioned the complete procedure. She made the students aware of the skills which every student must develop to attain a place in Microsoft Company through MSP. She also narrated her journey to Microsoft and meeting with Mr, Satya Nadella, the CEO Microsoft. The Technical session was delivered by Mr Rohit Jain in the lab. Mr Rohit is the Founder of Appoye, has worked with BYJU’s as Business Analyst and Hacker Karnel IT Services and at present associated with Microsoft. In this session, students were provided 50 Dollar subscription of Azure in Cloud Computing. The learners were very enthusiastic and they put up many questions to enlarge their knowledge.

At present, RGGI has six MSPs (Microsoft Students Partners) whose names are Abhishek Saxena, Jyoti Mittal, Abhishek Garg, Aryan Tyagi Tulika, and Rashi Sharma. The whole program was led by all these MSPs. MSP Ravindra Barthwal BCA student from IIMT actively supported the team of Abhishek Saxena.

All the HODs and teachers Mr Jay Kumar, Mr Sandeep Sharma, Mr Arvind Kumar, Dr Riju Pawar, Mr Vishal Kulshrestha, Ms Vijaya Singh, Mr Arun Bhardwaj, Mr Manish Jaiswal, Ms Parinita Agarwal, Ms Ankita Kareer, Ms Nitasha Verma congratulated the students for their efforts and management skills.  At the end of the workshop, mementos were given to all the guests and they expressed their pleasure to be in RGGI and also assured to visit here again in future. The Team reached RGGI after conducting the successful workshops in India’s most reputed institutions like IIT Delhi, VIT Vellor, LPU, PTU, SRM and so on.

Celebration of Energy Conservation day

Likewise every year, this year too, Energy Conservation Day was celebrated on 5th December, under the flagship of The Institutions of Engineers (India), Meerut Local Centre and Radha Govind Group of Institutions. On this occasion, a Poster Making Competition was organized at RGGI Auditorium.  Students from RGGI & RGPS actively participated in Poster Making Competition to depict Energy Conservation techniques, inculcate ways to encourage energy saving in daily life and general awareness on energy conservation methods employing poster as a medium of communication.

The main aim of poster making completion was to leave an impression on budding minds of the nation to make energy saving as the way of life. Aman Yadav from RGPS and Sakshi Sharma from RGGi were adjudged and awarded as the winner of the competition and Shobhit Gautam from RGPS and Anu Mishra from RGGI were adjudged and awarded as the runner-up of the competition. The Posters Competition was adjudged by Dr. P.K. Singh (HOD-ECE), Dr. Vinky Sharma (HOD-MBA), Prof. Jay Kumar (HOD-CSE), Prof. Sandeep Sharma (COE-RGGI).  Er. S.C.Govil (Hon’ble Chairman, IEI Meerut Local Centre), Mr. Rajneesh Kumar (Hon’ble Secretary, IEI Meerut Local Centre) were present there. During valediction ceremony, a keynote was delivered on “How to Conserve Energy in daily life” by Er. C.P. Gupta (Former Chairman, IEI Meerut Local Centre).

The main organizers of the event were Mr. Manish Jaiswal, Mr. Bijendra Singh, Ms. Sonika Singh, Mr. Raman Garg, Ms. Ankita Kareer, Mr. Vikash Bhardwaj and the faculty members Dr. K.C. Agarwal, Mr. Sandeep Tyagi, Mr. Aditya Jain, Ms. Aditi Tyagi, Ms. Shefali Gupta, Mrs. Soma Sharma, Ms.Vijaya Singh, Ms. Nitasha were present there who encouraged the aspirants. During valediction Prof.(Dr.) Niraj Kumar, Director RGGI) applauded the students and awarded to the winners and runner-ups.  In the end, Dr. P.K. Singh (HOD-ECE) floated the vote of thanks to the organizers and audience.

Placement Skills Development Program

As part of RGGI’s Placement Skills Development Program the concluding part of the session on Resume Building was held on 7th Oct, 2017. The session was taken by Mr. Vishal Kulshrestha, during which the salient points of resume content and style were once again refreshed for the participating students. The main focus of the session was to make the students create their own Resume in Word file or with the help of online applications. 
The students benefited from the on the spot feedback on their resume and the suggested corrections given by Mr. Vishal Kulshrestha. The students showed enthusiasm for learning and posed many interesting questions for further elucidation. It was a whole hearted participation by the students and helped in making the session a success.


AngularJS Workshop

Radha Govind Group of Institutions conducted a workshop on “Angular JS Workshop” on Friday, 13 October 2017. AngularJS is a JavaScript framework. It extends HTML attributes with Directives and binds data to HTML with Expressions.

Mr. Barun Singh from Ducat, Noida delivered this workshop. He also discussed various basic concepts about JavaScript, Jquery, HTML. He directed the students how to Discover a practical and iterative approach for building out an AngularJS application from the ground up and how to Discover how to build a master-detail view in AngularJS. Students from CSE & MCA actively participated in the Workshop.

This workshop was organized by Mr. Arun Bhardhwaj (HOD MCA). Various faculty members Mr. Jay Kumar (Head CS), Mr. Arvind Kumar(Asst. Prof. CSE), Mr. Manish Jaiswal(Asst. Prof. ECE), Ms. Ankita Kareer(Asst. Prof. MCA), Ms. Parinita Agarwal(Asst. Prof. CSE), Ms. Nitasha Verma(Asst. Prof. MCA) & Mr. Pankaj Agarwal were also present in the workshop. 

Lastly, Prof. Niraj Kumar, Director RGGI presented the memento to Mr. Barun Singh. 


Blood Donation Camp

The Radha Govind Hospital in association with Radha Govind Group of Institutions, Meerut has organized Blood donation camp in the college premises on 11th October 2017.

Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions that a person can make towards the society. The body of the donor can regenerate the blood within few days. It poses no threat to the metabolism of the body. There were around 50 units of blood collected. The students of RGGI generously donated blood and also participated in event enthusiastically.

Refreshments were provided to the students who were part of the camp. The Volunteers took immense care to meet the requirements of students after donating the blood, so as to avoid any mishaps in the campus.

Our faculty members Mr. Jay Kumar (Head CS), Mr. S.K. Singh (Head EE), Mr. Vikas Bhardwaj & Mr. Manish Jaiswal also donated blood. Our Honorable Chairman Shri Yogesh Tyagi made their gracious presence in the camp which started at 10.00 a.m and went upto 4.00 p.m.

Dr. Neha Singh was present, inspecting every aspect of the camp throughout the day.

Prof. Niraj Kumar, Director RGGI, Prof. P.K. Singh (Head, ECE), Prof. B.S. Tyagi (Head, CE), Mr. Sandeep Sharma (COE) also visited the camp to motivate the students and staff.

Abhikalan , The Society of Computer Science in alliance with Radha Govind Group of Institutions, Meerut organized a workshop on ” Bootstrap ” for the students of B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering.
Mr. Arvind Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science delivered the workshop. Various topics were covered such as Introduction to Bootstrap, Grid Layout , Typography, Tables, Forms, etc.
 

Online C Programming Test

Online C Programming Test

The FOSS Center at Radha Govind Group of Institutions, Meerut in association with Spoken Tutorial, IIT Mumbai conducted an Online Test on “C Programming” on 11 September 2017.

15 Students out of 25 got the certificate by Spoken Tutorial, IIT Mumbai and MHRD Govt. of India.

A big thank you to Mr. Arvind Kumar, Ms. Parinita Agarwal, Ms. Aditi Tyagi and Mr. Pankaj Agarwal for invigilation process.

Freshers Party-2017

Rubaru- Fresher’s Party-2017

Radha Govind Group of Institutions, Meerut organized Fresher’s Party “RUBARU-2017” for newly admitted students on 19 September, 2017.

The event was started followed by lightening of lamp Shri Yogesh Tyagi, Hon’ble Chairman, Radha Govind Group of Instutions, inspired the students by his motivational words. Prof. Niraj Kumar, Director RGGI also motivated the students. The party marked various memories for the newly entered students and a number of cultural activities were organized by them.

The seniors put their efforts by organizing various singing & dance performances and created RUBARU a memory for their juniors. A very active and enthusiastic participation was them from the newly admitted students of B.Tech., MCA & MBA.

Mr. Fresher & Ms. Fresher were selected by jury members Mr. Manish Jaiswal (Astt. Prof. ECE), Ms. Ankita Kareer (Astt. Prof. MCA), Ms. Shefali Gupta (Astt. Prof. MBA) by comprising Ramp Walk performance and Question Answer Round from Individual Talent.

Dr. Vinky Sharma (HOD-MBA) & Prof. Sandeep Sharma (HOD-1st Year) motivated the students with their valuable words and gave vote of thanks.

Interaction with Alumni

Interaction with Alumni

The Alumni are the face of RGGI, and they have in the past contributed a lot to the institute. Mr. Arvind kumar introduced the alumni to the audience and made them nostalgic by sharing memories of their college life.

The alumni of 2012 Batch Mr. Durgesh Chaudhary, Mr. Saleem Shakeel, Mr. Amit Singh, Ms. Nisha Adhikari and Mr. Arif Bashir (2013 Batch) have given their valuable time to motivate their juniors to stand out in the crowd and have also shared their experiences of IT sector. They told that today industry demands skilled people, so always target on the technical expertise along with the area of your interests. This interactive session was paused with the speech of Mr. Jai Kumar HOD CS/IT and Ms. Vijaya Singh.

They further had a meeting with the Director RGGI and discussed about future programs that can be conducted to enhance technical skill of students.
