AKTU ARTS AND CULTURAL FEST-2019 was successfully conducted by A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow at its zonal center Radha Govind Engineering College, Meerut. In 16 events, approx 330 registered students, 12 colleges, 6 cities participated. It was scheduled for two days, on 26th & 27th February 2019. The Zonal coordinator of fest Dr. Riju Pawar welcomed and escorted the guests in the inaugural segment. The Chief guest Mr. Rajendra Aggarwal (MLA) and the Founder & Chairman Of Radha Govind Group Of Institutions Shri Yogesh Tyagi inaugurated the fest by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati and dance was presented by Parul Tyagi on the song Jai Ganesha. Afterward, the guests released the balloons in the air. Dr. P.K. Singh, Director RGEC welcomed the guest and addressed the students. Afterward, the honorable Chairman of RGGI encouraged the students and told that we should not forget our culture & always carry it with ourselves, even if we are educated enough. He also wished good luck to the participants for the fest. Later on, the allegorical speech of Chief Guest Mr. Rajendra Aggarwal mesmerized the students. In which he told them a story of his infanthood when he used to have a stage of fear and how did he overcome this fear. That was really inspiring for the students. Before the departure of the Chief guest, a memento in the shape of sapling was presented to him by the Chairman. The ground was stuffed with a huge audience along with the faculty members.
The cultural fest was initiated with the anchoring of Ankur and Diviasha. It was started with singing competitions. The melodious voices of Ankur Tomar, Anadi Hardik Saini, Omkarnath Mukherjee, Adeeb Akhtar Khan, Archit Sharma, Vishal Tyagi, Samarth Garg, Tanmay Chaudhary, Anadi Sharma, Apoorv Garg, Akshit Goel, Akriti Sharma, Nikhil Jain, Palash Zutshi hypnotized the audience. It seemed like they are the rising stars of India. The singing competition was performed in various categories. After that, dance competitions in three categories took place. The performers danced in different devices of dance. Digant Deorha, Saundarya, Sunil, Manish & Mansi, Kunj Tyagi, Aarshee Sinha, Ifra, Anuradha, Pragati, Tushar, Abhishek Sharma, Harsh Kapoor etc. are in the list of top performers who dazzled the audience. The consistent zeal for dance was clearly visible on the faces of participants.
Next day, on 27th February, the students of Meerut zone showcased their talent in Skit, Stand Up comedy and Battle Of Band competitions. The students showed energy and enthusiasm in every event. In skit competition, the theme of nationalism was seen which filled the eyes of the audience with tears. Just after it, the performances of standup comedy tickled the audience stomachs and poured RGEC with humor and great laughter.
All the art events were organized in the library and its corridors. It consists of Face Painting, Mehendi, T.Shirt Painting, Collage Making, 3d Rangoli, and Poster Making Competitions. Various themes were given which were mingled with multiple colors. The creativity and innovative ideas surprised the Judges and it was really tough to evaluate the competitions. In art competitions, the creativity of Sabhya & Aman Kumar, Kunal Kapoor & Zaiba Firoz, Monika & Km. Monika, Abhishek Kapoor & Kunal Kapoor, Sabhya, Md. Salik, Ashok Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Anshul Sharma & Nitin Bhardwaj’s teams were actually remarkable.
MIET, Dewan Management College, DVSIET, S.D.College of Engineering and Technology Muzaffarnagar, Krishna Institute, Bijnor, Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar, Bharat Institute of Technology, IIMT, JPIET etc. are the colleges who performed actively in the fest and struggled a lot to grab the top positions.
Later on, The Gold winners of Meerut Zone represented his zone at the state level. From Radha Govind Engineering College, the winning teams of Solo Singing, Duet Singing, Mehendi, And T-Shirt Painting exposed their skills on the stage of Faculty Of Architecture & Planning, Lucknow. RGEC’s efforts and discipline were appreciated there. Ankur Tomar, Nishi Solanki, Km. Monika and Monika Chaudhary grabbed the 1st positions in Duet Singing And Mehendi Competitions. The theme of competitions was Namami Gange.
AKTU Arts and Cultural fest-2019 was successfully conducted by Dr. Riju Pawar and co-ordinator Mr. Vikas Bhardwaj. The contributions of Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Mr. Sanjeev Goel, Dr. Arun Bhardwaj, Mr. Manish Jaiswal, Mr. Ankit Gupta, Mr. Sandeep Tyagi, Dr. Kavita, Mr. Prashant Bhardwaj, Mr. Jay Kumar, Ms. Deepali Kapoor, Ms. Vijaya Singh Dr. Nishi Jain, Ms. Shraddha Jain, Ms. Shefali Gupta, Mr. Bijendra Kumar, Mr. Rajneesh Tyagi was incredible and consistent from the planning to the implementation of this carnival. They were all presented in different committees and events. The press and media coverage was done by Dr. Amit Sharma.
Also, there was a strong team of students whose sweat made this event megahit. The roles and responsibilities were efficiently carried by Shubhi Rastogi, Sachin Kumar, Kajal, Minaxi Tyagi, Paras, Harshit Pooja Singhal, Lavi Sharma, Devansh Chaudhary, Saloni, Paras, Harshit Shah Alam, Ifra, Shubhi Tyagi Saaksh, Shubham Shah, Meenaxi Tomar. The anchoring of Ankur Tomar, Divisha, Latika Sharma, Jyoti Mittal, Abhishek Saxena, and Rishabh Sharma was praised a lot.
