“Celebrate what you’ve accomplished, but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed.”

Ecstasy is the grand annual inter-college fest of Radha Govind Group of Institutions, Meerut that spans across Four days, and encompasses technical, cultural, and sporting activities.

Ecstasy was celebrated on 6th- 7th March’2017 at RGGI campus. The event began at 10:00 am, hosted by Poonam Singh and Vineet Tyagi. The Event commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting cermony by honourable chief guest Dr.A.K. Garg Principle, Radha Govind Institute of Medical Sciences, Meerut, Dr. Neeraj Kumar Director, RGGI and Respected HOD’s. Saraswati Vadana was performed by Ankit from MBA department followed by welcome dance by Uzma and Monika (B.Tech CSE), Anchal, Sonia, Preeti (MCA).

A melodious song ‘Khilte hain gul yahan’ & ‘Bas ek sanam chaiye’ was sang by Ankit which left the gathering mesmerized. The singing event “Love of lyrics” anchored by Prapti and Shubhangi (B.Tech CS Final Year), started-off with ‘Kaun Tujhe yun pyar kareyga’ sang by Shivani Tyagi (B.Tech CSE final year). Mohd. Rafi (B.Tech ME 3rd Yr.) with his pleasant voice sang ‘Badi Mastani hai’ and took the whole gathering in golden era of 1960’s. Pooja (B.Tech CSE 1st Yr.) with her ghazal ‘Hothon se choo lo tum’ touched the hearts of many. Abhishekh (MBA 2nd Yr.) buzzed the audience with soothing song ‘Mile ho tum humko’ followed by Poonam Singh (B.Tech CE 3rd Yr.). Shravan (B.Tech ME 3rd Yr.) performed famous ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ track from movie ‘Sultan’. Vaishali (B.Tech EC 3rd Yr.) sang ‘Aaj din chadheya’ in her beautiful voice and made the environment lively. The jury members were Mr. Jay Kumar (HOD CSE), Ms. Vijaya Singh (Asst. Prof CSE) and Ms. Deepali Kapoor (Asst. Prof. AS).

The dancing event “Dancin’ Feet” kicked-off with the Punjabi number performed by Harshita Raghuvanshi (B.Tech CSE 3rd year.) Subsequently a group dance was performed by MCA girls Anchal and Preeti on medley. Next performance was of MBA 1st yr. students Gunjan, Manu Tyagi, Swati and Amit on ‘ Radha teri chunri’ from movie ‘Student of the year’. Rahul(B.Tech ME 3rd Yr.) sang a punjabi song ‘tenu suit suit karda’. Famous track ‘kamli kamli’ was performed by Kajal (B.Tech 1st year). Saurabh from B.Tech CE 3rd year raised the expectations of the crowd with his splended locking and poping performance. Sonia performed on ‘Radha nachegi’ famous Sonakshi Sinha dance track. A power-packed performance was showcased by Uzma(B.Tech CSE 3rd yr) and kept the crowd shout for more. Mohit (B.Tech EE 3rd yr.) with his extraordinary dancing talent left the crowd amazed. Shubhangi Bishoni, Prapti Gupta and Shivani Tyagi B.Tech CSE 4th yr performed on 90s remix as ‘akhiya milau ya akhiya churao’ and ‘badi mushkil baba badi mushkil’.

‘Meri Maa’ a heart touching song was voiced by Aman and Shuja from B.Tech ME 3rd year and left the gathering overwhelmed. Mayank and Kawaljeet (B.Tech CE) performed mash-up on guitar. Avni, Dara and Samad gave a rocking performance on mixed numbers. Gunjun (MBA 1st yr) gave a flawless performance on ‘Pinga’. Medhawi and group performed on ‘lungi dance’ and rock the stage. Tulika, Rashi, Vaishali from B.Tech CSE 3rd yr brought the punjabi tadaka with their fabulous performance. The biggest surprise came from Karan and group with their ecstatic performance. Lastly, B.Tech CSE 1st yr and 3rd yr students flaunted a different style of dancing MIME. The jury members for Dancin’ Feet were Ms. Parinita Agarwal (Asst. Prof CSE) and Ms. Aditi Tyagi (Asst. Prof CSE).

Rishabh and Sheetal, presented the next event ‘Kavi Sammelan’.  Mohd. Rafi with his outstanding poetry about Mother, Shravan with his inspiring and emotional composition highlighting needs of every strata of society including farmers, Shuja with his poem representing today’s youth thinking, Rahul with his dramatic verse and Sushil Kumar with tuneful and rhythmical poetry were able to hold the interest of listeners.

The next act of ecstasy, Skit Competion was anchored by Pankhuri(B.Tech EC 2nd yr) and Shabaz(B.Tech CSE 2nd yr), First skit highlighted the ‘importance of education’ lead by Deepika dua and group. Followed by skit on ‘Hostel life’ lead by Prachi and group. ‘Dhongi Baba’ led by Alok and group. The judges were Mr. Ankit Gupta (Asst. Prof ME), Ms. Shefali Gupta (Asst. Prof MBA), Mr. Bijendra Kumar (Asst. Prof EC).

The most awaited episode of the evening, “Battle of Bands” was hosted by Manu Tyagi and Vineet Tyagi, There were seven bands in all named as follows; Neev, See Sharp, Stardust, Suspended Harmonics, Aaas, Moksh, Navrat’s. The jury consisted of Mohd. Sharukh Ansari, Vishal Kulshrestha and Puneet Singh. Suspended Harmonics was the winner with the cash prize of Rs.5000.

The most fashionable part of the ecstasy “Glamorous Technocrats” dazzled the evening with the beautiful and elegant maidens along with handsome hunks walked the ramp. The theme for the same was Indo-western wear. Lastly a vote of thanks on behalf of RGGI was addressed by Mr. Sandeep Sharma (Convener Ecstasy 2k17)

Literary Events ECSTACY-2017

Trailing the series of technical and cultural events of Ecstasy-2017, literary events also gleamed up the RGGI Gala. In this segment, several literary activities were organized for the students. This included Extempore, vocabulary quiz, article writing, spell it, story writing etc. A huge number of students enthusiastically participated in each event.

The future technocrats showed their oratory skills in Extempore competition. The orators spoke on different social, political and managerial topics and revealed their confidence on podium. The winners of this event were Richa Ojha ( CS 4th year) and Poonam ( CE 3rd year).

In vocabulary quiz twelve teams from various colleges participated. After four different rounds of word meaning, synonyms, one word, and analogy, two teams were cropped out as the winners of the competition which consists the names Saumil Srivastav (EC 4th year) & Praveen Narayan (ME 4th year) and Shravan & Mayank(ME 3rd year).

Spell It competition factualized the theory ‘Learning through games. In this activity 10 teams participated and showed their command on spellings. Rounds like jumble words, one word for phrase, and spelling correction were played and Abhishek & Tulika (CS) were declared as winners.

Shivee Gautam, Richa Ojha, Rishabh, Shubhi, Vineet, and Prince were the student coordinators of the events.The literary events were supervised by Dr. Riju Pawar, Mr. Vishal Kulshreshtha, Ms. Deepali Kapoor, Ms.Amita Chaudhary,and Ms Parinita.

Literary events are the easiest way, through which students come up with versatile thinking and learning. This is the great way of knowing about students and their skills like mental understanding, abilities to compromise etc. with the amalgamation of artistic and creative thoughts.
